23.07.2010 $ 113 bln invested to Kazakh Economy since 1993: Ministry of Industry and New Technologies

USD 113 bln of investments was attracted to the Kazakh economy during the period from 1993 till March 331, 2010, the Kazakh Ministry of Industry and New Technologies reports.

According to chairman of the Committee for Investments of the Ministry Timur Zhaksylykov, USD 5.2 bln was attracted during the first quarter of 2010 that is 53% more compared to the first quarter of 2009. Investments to non-oil and gas sectors are amounted to USD 1.25 bln that is twofold more than during the corresponding period of 2009.

The main investors are the Netherlands (USD 23.3 bln or 20.6% out of the total amount), USA ($20 bln or 17.8%), Great Britain ($9.3bln or 8.2%), France ($6.2 bln or 5.5%), Italy ($4.9 bln or 4.3%).
