26.08.2010 Economy of Kazakhstan to grow by 3 - 4 % a year

Since 2011, the economy of Kazakhstan will grow by 3 - 4 % a year with the increase of up to 7 % in 2015. Vice Director of Department of Macroeconomic Analysis and Forecasting of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Kazakhstan, Vagiz Hismatullin, informed on the seminar 'Estimation of Prospects of Development of World Economy: Threats to Stable Growth', the agency reports.

"Taking into account the situation in the world commodity markets and dynamics of development of the branches of Kazakhstan in the first quarter of 2010, real GDP growth in 2010 was forecasted at the level of 4 %," V. Hismatullin informed.

"More dynamical development of some branches of the real sector and the service sphere in January - July of 2010 (growth of real GDP by 8 %, following the results of the first half of 2010) and growth of the world economy in 2010 by 4.6 % gives the chance to modify the increase of IMF forecasts of real growth."
