Kazakhstan’s President Nursultan Nazarbayev will redouble his efforts to push for fundamental reforms to the global economic system as it emerges from the deepest recession since the Great Depression in the 1930s. Nazarbayev, who has led the sprawling, natural-resource-rich Central Asian country since the breakup of the Soviet Union, says the international community needs to ‘‘take drastic reforms’’ in order to avoid a recurrence of the world economic crisis.
